"Alice in Wonderland" is a classic novel written by Lewis Carroll in 1865, and it has been adapted into many different formats, including movies, television shows, plays, and musicals. It is a story about a young girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole and finds herself in a fantastical world filled with strange and curious creatures.
The original book was written for children; however, the Disney movie adaptation (1951) made this story popular among adults as well. The movie won an Academy Award for Best Score, and also received Golden Globe nominations for Best Picture - Musical or Comedy and Best Actor – Musical or Comedy (the award went to Mickey Rooney).
Recently, the Walt Disney Company announced that they are going to launch their own streaming service called Disney+. They have not yet released any details of what will be included in the new streaming service, but they did say that one of its first projects would be a live-action version of "Alice in Wonderland."
